Hybrid (minimum 2-3 days onsite per week) Description We provide a managed service for a major Defence Contractor’s Configuration Management function. With a team of approximately 70 professionals, we deliver support in CAD, BIM, Surveying, Compliance, Data Analytics, Handover, and Tooling. As a client-side
CAD Manager , you will report to the Operations Manager and work closely with the Strategic Service Manager and Integration & Efficiencies Manager. Your role will support a customer base that includes Manufacturing Engineers, Operational Facilities, Production Agencies, and Programmes across the organisation. You will ensure the provision of equipment and solutions that meet the needs of manufacturing processes within your areas of responsibility. This role requires an on-site presence of 2-3 days per week. Key Objectives PDM/PLM Software Implementation:
Develop and implement a replacement PDM/PLM data management software package aligned with the client’s delivery program and requirements.
Mechanical CAD Standards Development:
Establish and implement standards for Mechanical CAD (Process Plant & Equipment) in line with the client’s specifications.
Service Alignment:
Ensure the Mechanical CAD Service aligns with a suite of established standards and client expectations.
Role Requirements Essential Criteria: Significant experience (8-10 years) in a relevant field. Ability to obtain and maintain up to DV-level security clearance. Candidates may begin with BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) clearance. Must reside in the Reading/Berkshire area, with access to the site. Note: Public transport to the location may be limited. Must be able to work permanently in the UK without requiring current or future work permit sponsorship. Due to the nature of the work, visa sponsorship is not available for this role. Up to DV-level security clearance required.
