The role has the potential to become permanent at the end of the period, or be extended, subject to circumstances.
Standard working week is 37 hours, with an early finish on a Friday. Regular overtime is available, and is paid at enhanced rates.
Position Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks in their day to day role:
Day to day running of 5 axis machine centre (Mazak & Matsuura) The machining of complex aluminium and stainless fabrications Aid the setting up and proving out of programs with Engineers Support and manage the machine tooling to best achieve drawing tolerances Any other duties as required by your line manager Support ACE and keep up excellent housekeeping practices
Previous Experience
Setting & operating various machining centres Vertical 5 axis machine centres - Matsuura & Mazak would be ideal Mazak Intergrex (Tilting 'B' Axis) experience Aerospace or Oil & Gas background favourable Self-Inspection Various measuring/ inspection techniques PC Dmis knowledge advantageous - CMM operating Knowledge of machining Aluminium & Stainless fabrications Understanding of adaptive machining - Renishaw probing ideally
Toolmaker background advantageous.
Flexibility towards the earlies/lates rotating shift pattern is required.
