Contract Personnel are recruiting on behalf of our client based in North Kyme, Lincolnshire, who are looking for an experienced Horticultural Service Technician to join their team on a permanent basis.
Reporting directly to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of all equipment associated with horticultural machinery that is sold by the company's sales departments. This role will be mobile and will require travel to customers - a company vehicle will be provided.
Your experience/qualities will include:
Knowledge of Golf Course and amenity machinery (e.g. Ransome, Jacobsen or equivalent) and how it functions is advantageous. Knowledge of domestic or professional grass machinery. Repair and maintain equipment for customers associated with horticultural machinery. Diagnose faults and successfully carry out repairs and service work. Ability to diagnose hydraulic and electrical faults using the latest software. Ability to work alone using own initiative and as part of a team. Heavy lifting but apply common sense to items that require assistance. Good communication skills. Competent in the use of computers. Excellent customer service skills both face to face and over the telephone. Be self-motivated. Full driver's licence.
Pay Rate
Competitive, depending on experience plus company vehicle.
Shifts/Hours
39 hours per week - 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4pm Friday (1-hour unpaid lunch).
