Technical Field Services Rep Engineer

to join our UK Operations team. Solve unique, challenging problems for our Minister of Defense and Home Office customers. Help manage large volumes of critical, real-time information about issues from global to local. Get s#it done. You will apply your blend of operational and technical career experience and expertise to integrate leading-edge R&D and commercial technology capabilities that will change the game in integrating and coordinating Joint Targeting activities in support of the British Army, and across the UK MOD. You will be responsible for designing, integrating and managing delivered RII technologies and capabilities within the UK MoD, working within selected functional and operational branches providing daily support to British Military organizations. Must hold a current UK National Security Vetting (NSV) Security Clearance (SC) and be willing to obtain Developed Vetting (DV) clearance and be prepared to maintain it for the duration of employment. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Willing to commute within normal distance to Blandford Camp, DT11 8AA Provide system maintenance and administrative functions including: system configuration and modifications; adding, removing and replacing software components; system start up, shut down, backup and restore; database administration and maintenance; and system user access control. Providing technical subject matter expertise and field support services in support of soldier exercises and DevOps engagements Install, operate, and maintain system components as required to meet the mission requirements during test events and demonstrations Provide guidance, assistance, over-the-shoulder (OTS) system maintenance, operations, and configuration training Develop and document maintenance support troubleshooting, diagnosis, fault isolation, adjustment, repair, and removal & replacement procedures as required System administration of development, test and production systems at various locations across the globe Analyzing system, software and user performance metrics to include trend capture Implementing and utilizing production change and compliance management systems covering hardware life cycle, system updates, software and security patching, and technology roadmaps Knowledge and formal training on Fire Control systems as an administrator, such as FC-BISA, ComBAT, JADOCS, and JTS-FAST Knowledge of interface messaging protocols, such as ASCA, CoT, and JREAP-C Configuring and maintaining user account management interfaces and system supports including direct customer interface Periodic planned, scheduled, and/or rotational on-call system maintenance support outside of normal duty hours, as required Ability and interest to travel up to 25%, as needed to client sites, and internationally Providing on-call support on some weeknights and weekends based on the predefined schedule WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

BS in Computer Science, equivalent degree, or previous work experience. Working knowledge in installing, configuring, repairing, and troubleshooting with Linux (CentOS or Red Hat or Ubuntu) environments Experience with cloud hosting environments, specifically Azure and Azure Stack Hub on premises platforms Possess a working knowledge in performing analysis of systems operation. Knowledge of and experience in the utilization of operating systems and database management systems. Familiar with basic Networking, IP routing, switching, and multicast routing Experienced in client and server software interaction including web-based application infrastructure and integration Possess exceptional oral and written communications skills and ability to work independently, with minimal direction; self-motivated and results-focused Served in the Army as an NCO, Warrant or junior Commissioned Officer. Experience developing Tactics, Techniques and Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures or other process documents Supported operational exercises, reinforcing user training and improving proficiency through guidance and developed TTPs Monitored system and application performance; configured and performed system and application database backup and recovery EVEN BETTER

Experience with KVM, VMWare, Hyper-V or other virtualization technologies Information security experience and certifications (NIDS, HIDS, Auditing, Incident Response) Experience providing integration support of systems on the BCCS/TSI HW platform, the Command and Control Registry (C2R), and Data Distribution Services (DDS) Experience with interoperability support on various Mission Command systems Experience working at an Army tactical unit in the G6/S6, G2/S2, G3/S3, or Electronics Warfare Officers (EWO/CEWO) roles Strong understanding of C4I, Information Operations or related areas Experience with Agile methodologies and Atlassian products Experience working in field conditions, solving real-time problems.
