Are you our next Assembly Operative? Another exciting opportunity has arisen within Breas UK for an assembly operative to join our Clearway 2 device assembly team. Clearway 2 is a medical grade cough assist device which helps our customers to clear airway providing relief and improving our customer’s quality of life. We require an assembly operative who is experienced in electronics-based device construction to join our team at a time of sharp and prolonged growth. The ideal candidate will come from a production environment, will be meticulous, dexterous, and committed to delivering the highest standard of product assembly. Main Responsibilities The assembly of the Clearway 2 device, subassemblies, and accessories. Responsible for ensuring high-quality assemblies free of defects. To ensure the devices are built efficiently and to suggest productivity improvements to the line manager. To finish and configure devices for pre-shipment. To assist in logistics, stocking, stock taking, and dispatching as needed. To identify, segregate, and communicate component or build quality failures to the QA team. Engage in the training of new staff as required. To assist in QA investigations and regulatory projects. To help with the assembly of R&D or engineering change items as required. To support company continuous improvement initiatives and make recommendations for additional projects. To assist in the compilation of production manuals and SOPs. To help in collecting, collating, and analyzing KPIs as requested. To live, embrace, and communicate Breas’ values. To support and engage with supervisor/management requests and follow company procedures. To ensure departmental compliance with ESD protocols and wider regulatory requirements. To flex tasks as per management requests. To be an active, hands-on team member primarily building Clearway 2 devices or constructing other devices/subassemblies/breathing circuits & accessories. To identify, isolate, and communicate deficiencies in components parts or assemblies in line with the company’s QA requirements. To communicate to your supervisor/line manager potential efficiencies in the device build. To communicate stocking issues should components run short. To complete reports/data input when required. To engage in non-standard activities where required (stock taking for example). To help supervisors and line managers when asked. To embrace the company values and to enhance the company’s positive culture. To comply with company rules and regulations. To abide by ESD and other quality control standards. To be successful in this job, we believe that you possess the following requirements and skills: A history within a production environment. Ability to work within a quickly evolving and time-driven workplace. Dexterous, precise, and quality-driven. Able to follow precise instructions. A history of continuous improvement. Strong communication skills and a positive outlook. Experience of working within a highly regulated industry is a plus, but not essential.
