We have a well-established steel distributor who is looking for an experienced Rebar Machine Operator to join the team in Christchurch. This role may involve you working the occasional Saturday morning to help with production. Duties and responsibilities:

Ability to run and operate a rebar coil machine (Prima 12/13 and/or Eura) Select method and sequence of operations, and machine setting & programming Setting guides, stops and other controls on machining tools Diagnosing faults on machines and reporting to the supervisor Ability to check fabricated parts for accuracy Some manual bending could be required (Operating a manual bending machine) Skills and experience required:

Proven experience running Rebar Machines (This is a must) Be physically capable Attention to detail and good numeracy Any relevant certifications or qualifications in the engineering field/machine operation is advantageous Holding an Overhead Crane Ticket and/or Forklift Endorsement is advantageous Applicants must have NZ Residency or NZ Citizenship.
