Garage Equipment and Calibrations Mechanical Engineer & Trainee
Due to business growth we are expanding our team and have an exciting opportunity for a service engineer with mechanical experience in Garage Equipment & Calibration. You will be working throughout North and South of Ireland on various sites including private and commercial vehicle workshops, car dealerships and other commercial properties. We also have the opportunity for an additional trainee for the above role.
S.A.M is a highly successful, expanding company that provides EVCP installations; Cutting Edge Energy Solutions including SolarPV, Wind and Hydro; Vehicle Equipment repairs, maintenance, service and calibration, Workshop fit-outs and numerous other Electrical, Mechanical & Engineering works.
The Role
Working throughout North and South of Ireland on various sites and diverse projects
Tool & Equipment Calibration
Oil Distribution System Installations
Vehicle ramp installation, service, maintenance and repair
Provide professional assessments and advice for customers
Review maintenance work orders and ensure all requirements/preparations are fully undertaken before commencing work
Fault finding and diagnosis
Working well with colleagues, dividing job tasks and/or working as a team when necessary
Working with subcontractors
Sensory Demands in this role, including but not limited to: observing, inspecting, operating equipment, and technical troubleshooting.
Will occasionally be required to assist the Energy Team on large scale projects, gaining experience in other fields.
The Candidate
Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in a Mechanical/Engineering environment
Be able to demonstrate an aptitude for fault finding
Have a willingness to learn
Be able to demonstrate an appreciation of the highest standards of Health & Safety
Have the ability to take direction but work with minimal supervision
Will be self-motivated and driven with excellent customer service, attention to detail and communication skills.
Full, Clean Driving Licence
CSR Card and IPAF preferable
As with many of our projects, most of the work is within the normal working day, but applicants also must be flexible and adaptable, being prepared to work flexible and less sociable hours to cater for the needs of our clients and/or a specific project. This position offers variety and a broad range of responsibilities and you will build your technical, electrical and mechanical skills working alongside our experienced team.
