Follow risk assessments and method statements, ensuring their suitability for tasks. Utilise the Permit to Work system, issuing permits as required under the relevant authorisation levels. Take responsibility for electrical isolations per the isolation procedure. Plan, assess risks and execute workload efficiently. Make informed decisions associated with hazard identification and risk management. Carry out remedial or preventative work based on inspection reports and discussions. Offer suggestions for improvements in safety, performance and working practices. Be a flexible and proactive team member, contributing knowledge and experience to the group. Demonstrate self-motivation, discipline and focus. About you
We are looking for the following experience and knowledge: You must be a time-served electrician with experience in the installation, repair and maintenance of heavy equipment ideally gained in a processing plant, a mine or a similar heavy industrial environment. Understanding of HV/LV distribution systems up to and including 11kV. Familiarity with computer/PLC control systems plus conveyor and pumping systems would be advantageous. Level 2 Skills for Life (Numeracy, Literacy and ITQ) or evidence of GCSE equivalent/higher. Certification in Risk Assessment and IOSH Working Safely. Effective Communication Skills. About us
