Randstad are recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a major infrastructure project in Somerset. This is a contract role offering a competitive rate and the opportunity to work on a critical project within a leading construction company.

Responsibilities:

Assist the Site Agent in overseeing all aspects of the project, including planning, coordination, and execution of works. Supervise and coordinate the work of a team of site staff, including technicians, surveyors, and operatives. Ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards. Implement and maintain safety procedures and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Manage and resolve technical issues that arise on site, ensuring timely and efficient solutions. Prepare and maintain project documentation, including site surveys, drawings, reports, and safety records. Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

Essential Qualifications: Proven experience as a Site Engineer or in a similar role within the construction industry. A strong understanding of construction methods and processes, particularly within the nuclear or energy sectors. Experience working on complex projects, ideally within the nuclear or energy sectors. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Desirable Qualifications: Experience working with leading construction companies in the UK. Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards for nuclear and/or energy projects. Experience with construction software, such as AutoCAD and BIM.
