The Vacancy Department: Electrical Job Title: Maintenance Electrician Location: Midlands South Responsible To: Electrical Project Manager JOB PURPOSE To maintain and repair a range of electrical and mechanical plant and equipment in an efficient and cost-effective manner whilst in compliance with the Company Health and Safety policy. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Representing the company in a professional and competent manner at all times and develop strong working relationships with colleagues and clients. To collate and complete the PPM schedule within agreed timescales and to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures. To prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times. To identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Facilities Manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement. To advise the Facilities Manager of any repair and maintenance issues that are likely to affect the smooth running of the store. To manage the attendance of any subcontractors if required in line with the Facilities Manager request and company process. To carry out surveys and complete reports as required by the Facilities Manager. To carry out minor alterations and installations within the individual’s technical competence in accordance with current specifications. To maintain accurate Time Sheets and Mileage Logs as required. To attend training courses as and where necessary and to ensure personal job skills keep pace with technical developments. To comply with the company Health and Safety Policy at all times. To comply with any other reasonable request or instruction from the Line Manager. Ensuring company vehicle (where provided) is kept clean, well maintained and serviced as required.
