Facility Services - Chester Airport (Seasonal/Extra Help)
Rogers Field Airport, Chester, is seeking seasonal employees for up to 29 hours a week. Employment is temporary and runs through September/October 2024. DUTIES Operation and use of a Jet-A fuel truck (Refresher and/or training may also be provided to the ideal candidate) Assisting airport users & answering phones Cleaning and maintenance of all county operated airport facilities Light office work Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Various other airport related tasks as required Employee reports directly to Airport Manager Employee must provide their own transportation and provide a valid California State Driver's License. A driving record abstract may be required. Qualifications
Strong attention to detail and able to work at times independently without direct supervision. Problem solving skills and exceptional customer service and people skills. Tolerance for high volume of requests and inquiries, often last minute, and ability to work under extreme pressure during peak travel cycle and emergency call coverage. Ability to work on-call, with changing schedules, including evenings, early mornings, weekends and holidays. Strong professional demeanor to remain cool in challenging and demanding situation. Flexibility, reliability and dependability extremely important. Punctuality is essential. Must provide own transportation to and from designated airport. Good computer skills to include MS Office, Internet and e-mail.
