Probe are looking to hire a

Sales Manager

on a full time, permanent basis. Based at their facility in Great Yarmouth, the Sales Manager will be responsible for managing, coaching, and leading Probe Sales Team to deliver the annual and monthly sales targets. Develop a detailed plan to best utilise the Probe Sales Team to maximise orders and revenue from existing and new external and internal customers. This position will involve spending 90% of your time as a Sales Team Player and 10% as the Sales Team Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities

Meet sales and revenue targets on a monthly and annual basis. Form and build on long term relationships with all key buying decision makers and influencers within the defined customers, ensuring that through good relationships ongoing business is maintained and new opportunities are seized. Meet face to face with the customer on a regular basis to maintain and foster the relationship, ensuring any customer satisfaction issues are dealt with in a timely fashion. Ensure that senior management meetings take place with Probe management and customer management at least twice a year. Develop and maintain Account Plans for key customers. Actively drive the sales opportunity pipeline. Follow up on new sales leads and referrals. Qualify sales and overcome objections. Manage the bid/tender process for chosen clients and close new profitable business. Report monthly back to Probe management on the forecast for current and new business. Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close and deliver sales. Ensure a full handover to Operations on contract award providing all required information. Ensure that their customers are happy and receive a first-rate service. Liaison with VP Sales & Commercial and other members of the sales team to identify and respond to sales opportunities. Collate information from the marketplace to provide market research, competitor analysis, and develop market trends and strategy. Ensure the customer database (CRM) is accurate and up to date.

Requirements

Experience in sales, business development, and relevant technical or engineering knowledge. Significant knowledge and experience of CNC Manufacturing and Fabrication products within the upstream oilfield sector. Sufficient technical knowledge with an understanding of the mechanical engineering industry and the oil and gas industry. A minimum of 5 years successful sales experience with at least 2 years in account management. Experience of providing sales forecasting information. Front line sales background dealing with various forms of bidding and commercial agreements. Appreciation of contractual and commercial risk and development of mitigation strategies. Ability to manage, lead, persuade and influence individuals and groups. Experienced user of Microsoft Office packages. Ability to create, compose and edit written material. Self-motivated, driven, and persistent individual. Confident and credible with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Valid full UK Driving Licence. Ability to travel internationally.
