At Teva Runcorn, we develop, manufacture and market innovative and affordable medicines, specialising in sterile liquid products mainly used for treating respiratory conditions using Blow-Fill-Seal technology as well as injectable Combination Products such as our MS treatment Copaxone. A Day In The Life Of A Critical Systems Engineer As a Critical Systems Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and optimal performance of critical utilities and electrical distribution systems. Your work will help maintain compliance with Health & Safety, cGMP/regulatory, and corporate standards while driving continuous improvement initiatives to achieve industry best practices. Around 80% of your responsibilities will involve process improvements, regulatory compliance, system optimization, contractor/vendor management, project support, data analysis, and maintaining quality records (e.g., deviations, CAPAs, and change controls). The remaining 20% of your time will involve hands-on technical tasks such as diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and carrying out preventative maintenance activities. This balance ensures a comprehensive approach to both strategic oversight and technical execution. Key Responsibilities: Equipment Performance:

Monitor, evaluate, and enhance the performance of production and critical utilities equipment to minimize downtime and waste. Preventative Maintenance:

Plan, schedule, and execute both planned and unplanned preventative maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with schedules. Continuous Improvement:

Identify and implement system and process enhancements to boost reliability, performance, and cost-effectiveness. Documentation & Compliance:

Ensure all operational, batch, and supporting documentation is completed accurately and in compliance with regulatory standards. Procedure Ownership:

Develop, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures while maintaining training compliance. Problem Solving:

Investigate non-conformances, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions. Team Collaboration:

Minimize operational disruptions through effective planning, communication, and teamwork. Contractor Management:

Oversee and manage contractors to ensure site operations are maintained safely and effectively. Project Implementation:

Lead small-scale projects and drive ongoing improvements across systems and processes. Who We Are Looking For Do You Have? A minimum of HNC/City & Guilds or equivalent in a technical discipline (e.g., Mechanical, C&I). Experience in cleanrooms or pharmaceutical environments is advantageous. Training or experience in Control/Electrical systems is preferred. Background in Critical Utilities is desirable. Are You? Detail-oriented with the ability to operate at a technical expert level. Proficient in making data-driven decisions. Self-motivated and capable of working both independently and collaboratively within teams and with other stakeholders.
