About the role BYD UK is seeking an experienced PR Manager to develop and execute comprehensive public relations strategies for BYD's current and future brands in the UK market. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in automotive or technology PR, excellent media relationships, and the ability to drive impactful communications campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategic PR plans aligned with BYD's business objectives and brand values in the UK market Manage media relations and serve as the primary point of contact for press inquiries, building and maintaining strong relationships with key journalists and media outlets Create compelling content including press releases, speeches, presentations, and other communications materials Lead PR activities for product launches, corporate announcements, and special events Monitor and analyze media coverage, social media trends, and industry developments to identify PR opportunities and potential issues Coordinate with global PR teams to ensure consistent messaging across markets while adapting communications for local audience Manage crisis communications and reputation management initiatives when needed Oversee PR agency relationships and external vendor partnerships Develop and maintain PR budget and track KPIs Required skills, qualifications and experience: Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or related field 7+ years of PR experience, with at least 3 years in automotive, technology, or relevant industries Proven track record of developing and executing successful PR campaigns in the UK market Strong media relationships with automotive, technology, and business press Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience in crisis communications and issues management Strong project management and organizational skills Proficiency in PR measurement tools and social media platforms About BYD UK BYD UK is the UK distributor of BYD Company Ltd which is a China-based company and a global leading-edge provider of green energy technologies.
