Russell Publishing operates a hybrid working policy with the ability to work from home up to 3 days per week. Our office is located in Brasted, Kent. Summary: We are recruiting for an Editorial Assistant to join our content team to support the delivery and creation of high-quality online news and content for our Drug Target Review brand across all its existing multi-media platforms (print, digital, live), which will drive new subscribers, increase reader engagement, and generate revenue growth. The successful applicant will ideally have a qualification in English, journalism, or experience working in a content role, ideally within a pharmaceutical, drug discovery, life science, or similar industry. The role and function of the team require strong writing, proofing skills, and research skills along with the ability to process quickly and accurately. Key Responsibilities: Support the Editor with the delivery of content for the brand across all channels, targeting the appropriate audience – including website, email, print, video, podcast, and webinar. Be responsible for the daily news output on the brand website. Edit and proof articles, news, and content as instructed by the Editor. Build strategic relationships with key industry influencers. Produce news, features, and articles for digital platforms. Key Skills/Requirements: Evidence of assisting in delivering multi-media content. Degree in journalism, communications, or a related field, or related work experience. Ability to undertake thorough and focused research. Highly organized and able to prioritize evolving business needs. Attention to detail, flexibility, and the ability to work under pressure to meet targets. Interpersonal skills to enable collaborative teamwork. Clear and confident communicator (both written and oral). Analytical with a proven track record of research and development. Strong commercial acumen. Excellent IT skills – Microsoft Office is essential, including Word and Excel. Adobe creative packages would be advantageous but not essential.
