Premises Officer Oathall Community College is seeking to appoint a full-time premises officer to join our busy premises team looking after the facilities in our large and diverse campus. Reporting to the premises manager, the successful candidate will work as part of a team to ensure that the college facilities are well-maintained, well-presented, safe, and secure. Previous experience of working in a practical premises or building related role is preferred, but we would consider applications from candidates with a ‘can do’, solution-focused approach to work, and a willingness to learn and gain experience on the job. As you will be working in a school setting, you will need to have good interpersonal and customer service skills. Applicants should be aware that the role involves regular physical effort and exposure to environmental demands. Salary:

NJC Grade 4, points 5-6. Starting at £24,790. Other benefits include 25 days holiday and participation in the generous local government pension scheme (19.7% employer contribution), and free use of the school gym. Access to WSCC employee benefits is also provided. Hours:

37 hours per week, 52 weeks of the year. Hours of work:

Premises officers generally work an 8-hour day (with a 30-minute unpaid break) on a rota covering the hours of 07:00 – 18:00, Monday to Friday. Very occasionally, you may be asked to work outside of these hours or on a weekend (for example, our annual open day or occasional evening events in school). The college is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure. Candidates are welcome to visit the college for a tour of the site before applying. If you wish to visit the college, please call Mrs. Sara Atkin on 01444 883202 to arrange an appointment. Applications should be completed via the website using a support staff application form along with our recruitment monitoring form and a short letter of application (no more than one side of A4). Please email the documents to

jobs@oathall.org

or post to Mrs. Sara Atkin. The closing date for this post is 9am on 7 February 2025. Suitable candidates may be invited to interview prior to the closing date, and we reserve the right to close the vacancy early should sufficient applications be received.
