Glacier Mechanical Solutions are actively recruiting skilled Machinists/Toolmakers, looking to enhance and utilise their skills in a Field Machining environment, using portable machine tools. Here at Glacier, we will give machinists/toolmakers the training and exposure to Field Machining applications & equipment, to build their knowledge and skills, to ultimately develop into fully competent Onsite/In-Situ Machining Technicians. Ability to carry out all aspects of Onsite Machining including: Inspection – Visual and Measurement – Reports Completed Knowledge and experience of ANSI/ASME Standards Able to complete Inspection reports and site documentation to a high level. Milling – Pump Bases / Keyways other Line Boring – Compressor Housings, Crane alignment Pins, specialist applications Bespoke Machining and Engineering Projects Principal Accountabilities: Willing to travel within the UK, International locations both onshore and offshore locations Take instruction from the GMS Operations team on work scopes and deliverables Able to respond at short notice for reactive site working Ability in the preparation of portable machine tools & maintenance of equipment Inspection and maintenance of Tooling on return from site, ensuring equipment is stripped down, serviced and assembled Requirements

Qualifications & Experience: Good mechanical engineering knowledge Minimum 4 years accredited Machining based Apprenticeship Sound educational background minimum NC mechanical engineering preferred Clean UK driving licence Excellent interpersonal skills, communication, and organisational skills. Able to use Microsoft Word and Excel Team and goal oriented. Strong analytical skills coupled with practical, hands-on problem-solving approach. Target Objectives to fulfil role: Experience in Onsite machining Offshore Survival Offshore Medical CCSNG Safety Passport MJI / TMJI Bolting and Tensioning Certified
