The role:

This role is a PA and Office Administrator to the CEO and co-Directors of the Harrow Development Trust. It is a varied and busy position, providing a full administrative and secretarial service to the directors, overseeing the smooth running of the office and supporting the organisation of activities and events that raise donations for the School. It is an opportunity for involvement at the heart of the School’s business in a busy, challenging and continuously changing environment, and a unique insight into the life of our vibrant and historic School. The skills:

This role will suit a candidate with first-class administrative skills and previous experience as a PA. The directors will rely on you to utilise your good judgement, discretion and initiative to deal with enquiries effectively, referring issues swiftly to the correct staff member for an efficient response. Your solid experience in a busy office will allow you to manage multiple tasks with short deadlines to ensure that colleagues, senior staff members and high-net-worth individuals are assured of a good service. The experience you have of organising events with attention to detail will be very useful as will your experience of handling financial information with precision. Your strong written and verbal communication skills and tactful, approachable manner will enable you to build strong professional relationships throughout the School.

The environment : Harrow School is situated in Harrow on the Hill, northwest London, and is one of the best-known schools in the world. Around 835 boys study at Harrow and live in the School’s 12 boarding houses. Harrow Development Trust (HDT) is the highly successful fundraising arm of Harrow School. It is a subsidiary charity of the School which raises funds for the advancement of the education of pupils at the School and such other charitable purposes as the Trustees may declare.
