From initial greeting through to departure, our professionally trained Security team is here to help. They control access to the village, assist with emergencies, and ensure our guests have an enjoyable stay.

We hope our guests never need them, but knowing we have a Security team on call all year-round provides peace of mind and reassurance.

DEPUTY SECURITY MANAGER | Circa £38,200 per annum, pro rata

In this role, you will deputise for the Security Manager for 8 days per period, leading a team of Assistant Security Managers, Security Officers, and Security Team Members. Your responsibilities will include managing, motivating, and developing the team to ensure the safety and security of all persons and property of the village.

You will act as the first point of contact for guests, colleagues, and contractors, providing a warm and courteous welcome while ensuring that only authorised individuals access the village.

Additionally, you will support the Service Delivery team by covering Duty Village Manager shifts. This involves overseeing all aspects of service delivery, including standards, compliance, service consistency, and service recovery.

HOURS OF WORK

You will be contracted to work 64 hours (8 x 8-hour shifts) per 4-week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period.

Shifts will fall between the hours of 8 am and 12 midnight. As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include weekends, public/bank holidays, and during Christmas and/or New Year on a rota basis.

About You

Essential requirements:

Sociably confident with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to support, develop, and challenge a team Competent user of Microsoft Office Knowledge and understanding of General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and responsibilities within a management role Communicates honestly, with commitment and enthusiasm Ability to perform under pressure Full driving licence, held for a minimum of 6 months Physically capable of carrying out the demands of the role SIA (Security Industry Authority) Door Supervisor Badge

Desirable Requirements

Specialist knowledge in security industry tools e.g. CCTV, ANPR, technology to monitor and maintain controls of assets, visitors, and patrol tasks Knowledge and understanding of UK security threat levels and available resources for advice Operational budget management skills Capital project management skills / dealing with external service providers Previous experience in the security industry or a secure environment with responsibility for managing a team Member of the Security Institute (or other evidence of continued personal development)
