This role is a Distribution & People Manager position, based full time at our Dartford HQ, Kent, UK. Due to the nature of the role and our industry, we encourage applications from people with warehouse/distribution and live events experience in particular. Purpose of the role The Prep & Dock Manager position is one of the most important roles at ER Productions! What’s important is not only ensuring that the equipment delivers, the crew have to deliver too. People are the most important part of what we do. As the Prep & Dock Manager, your job is to ensure that shows are properly resourced with the right equipment and are prepared to the ER Standards. All preps are to run effectively and have the right kit assigned to them, ensuring the preps meet ER's standards in line with all safety guidelines. This role also oversees the Interns and Trainee Show Technicians, ensuring that they have the time and resources to complete their training program. You will be working in a fast-paced international business across multiple time zones at high-profile festivals, shows, and tours, therefore it is important that you have the following Skills and Experience: Good understanding of live event technology, including understanding DMX, ARTNET, and data distribution. Computer literate, with a good understanding of computer networks and IP addresses, able to navigate server systems and online booking systems. Solid understanding of show and event power distribution systems. Able to demonstrate strong leadership skills and people management experience and can evidence mentoring/developing to look after and line manage the ER Interns & Trainee Show Techs. At least 5 years experience in the live events industry in a technical capacity. 2 years of which working with lasers and/or special effects, on site as a touring tech understanding how to bring a live show together. At least 5 years experience working in a busy warehouse environment. As the Prep & Dock Manager, your responsibilities will include: Ensure all jobs and preps have a Prep Supervisor assigned and they meet ER Prep Guidelines. Ensure all preps run smoothly and on time, that the preps have the correct equipment and that the preps meet ER Productions standards. Ensure the equipment has been assigned and scanned out to the correct job on our Resource Management Systems and that any changes of equipment on shows are logged so this remains up to date. Ensure that equipment is ready to be delivered on time to shows, that all equipment and flight cases leave the warehouse correctly labelled, clean, and meet ER Productions standards. Ensure that all prep bays and yard are cleaned and cleared down, that any extra equipment is returned to stock ready for the next show. Line manage Interns and Trainee Show Techs, ensuring employee life-cycle activity is compliant. Package on Offer: Salary depending on experience. Apple Laptop. 4 Weeks holiday + Bank Holidays and Christmas shutdown. Company Pension Scheme (after 3 months). Participation in the ER Bonus Scheme (after qualifying period).
