Design Consultant
to join us on a permanent, full-time basis covering the South East area.

About the role:
As our
Design Consultant , you will be the face of our company, based in Rougham and visiting clients in East Anglia and the South East, liaising with prospective clients in their homes. You will offer fair and impartial advice to enquirers, visiting them and listening to their needs typically within a 90-minute Site Survey (design visit) in the client’s own garden. You will generate multiple client orders via the company’s existing warm-lead, inbound enquiries, and the completion of field-based client meetings. Providing advice, design, consultation, and reassurance to customers throughout their decision-making journey. You will understand each individual customer’s annexe requirements and articulate those needs through the provision of visual, affordable, and compelling specifications ensuring they remain within the company’s capabilities to produce.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Liaison with prospective clients via telephone, e-mail, and face-to-face; accurately and politely.
Collaborating with our design and technical teams to develop and present customised annexe solutions from our diverse portfolio that are within our production parameters and within the client’s budget, and preferred timescales.
Maintaining meticulous records and specifications to ensure a seamless transition from consultation to installation.
Ensuring exceptional communication with clients throughout their journey, keeping them updated on progress and next steps.
Assisting in display visits at our showroom, demonstrating our annexe options and features.
Undertake Site Surveys in person, mostly in SE England, occasionally nationwide.
About you:
To be a successful
Design Consultant , you will either have experience in a similar role or a background in a consumer-facing role in design such as kitchen, fitted furniture, home or bathroom design. You will be proficient in the use of simple CAD Design software SketchUp (preferred) and in the use of CRM HubSpot (preferred). You have a keen eye for detail, a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, and great administration skills. Your proactive approach, people skills coupled with empathy and strong analytical skills, allows you to navigate complex design requirements effortlessly and foster lasting client relationships.
