What you will do… Working Hours : 40-hour week. Overtime expected + 1st hour travel Location : South-East region including London, United Kingdom Prepare for Jobs : Read site plans, drawings, and project minutes to get ready for tasks. Problem Solving : Use a logical approach to find and fix system faults. Maintenance : Carry out routine maintenance services as needed. Health and Safety : Follow all safety requirements to ensure a safe work environment. Customer Communication : Communicate with customers to gather relevant information and keep them updated on job progress. Testing and Training : Test systems upon completion and train customers on how to use them, providing manuals when available. 24/7 Support : Be part of a call-out roster to provide engineering support 24/7 to specified sites. Meetings : Attend meetings with external site teams and within the company as required. Paperwork : Complete all necessary paperwork, including time sheets and expenses, to specified standards and submit them on time. Team Support : Keep the office team informed of job progress and provide technical support when needed. Support colleagues by offering assistance and training. Continuous Learning : Keep technical knowledge up to date through ongoing learning and development. Vehicle Maintenance : Take care of the company vehicle according to specified standards. Flexibility : Be willing to perform any other duties as assigned on an as-needed basis. What we expect of you… Minimum 3 years' experience with CCTV or Access Control systems. Possession of a valid driving license. Installation Skills : Proficiency in installing CCTV cameras, access control panels, door entry systems, and related hardware in accordance with manufacturer specifications, industry standards, and client requirements. Cabling and Wiring : Ability to plan and install structured cabling systems for power and data transmission, including coaxial cables, Ethernet cables, and power cables, while adhering to industry best practices and safety regulations. Equipment Mounting and Positioning : Skill in mounting and positioning CCTV cameras, access control readers, intercom stations, and other hardware components in optimal locations to maximize coverage, visibility, and functionality. System Integration : Knowledge of integrating CCTV, access control, and door entry systems into a cohesive security solution, including connecting devices to network infrastructure and configuring system settings for interoperability. Power Supply Installation : Understanding of electrical principles and regulations to safely install power supplies, transformers, and backup batteries for CCTV, access control, and door entry systems, ensuring reliable operation and compliance with electrical standards. System Configuration : Proficiency in configuring system settings, user permissions, access levels, and other parameters using software applications or device interfaces to meet client requirements and operational needs. Testing and Commissioning : Ability to conduct thorough system testing and commissioning procedures to verify proper installation, functionality, and performance of CCTV, access control, and door entry systems before handing over to clients. Troubleshooting Skills : Diagnostic abilities to identify and resolve technical issues with equipment, cabling, or configurations during the installation process, ensuring timely completion and client satisfaction. Health and Safety Compliance : Commitment to adhering to health and safety regulations and best practices throughout the installation process, including risk assessment, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and safe work practices. Documentation and Handover : Capability to maintain accurate installation records, including as-built drawings, equipment lists, configuration settings, and user manuals, to facilitate system maintenance, upgrades, and future expansions.
