Wilson Recruitment is excited to advertise an exceptional opportunity for a Quality Manager role based in East Yorkshire. This position offers a chance to oversee the Quality Department, drive food safety and quality standards, and make a significant impact on a rapidly growing business in the food manufacturing sector.

About the Role

As Quality Manager, you will be responsible for managing the Quality Department and ensuring compliance with all food safety and quality systems. You'll lead the team, manage audits, address customer complaints, and champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes, reduce costs, and maintain high standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Ensure quality systems meet customer, legislative, and industry standards.

* Manage customer complaints, defect reports, and non-conformances.

* Lead and motivate the Quality team, ensuring KPI targets are met.

* Maintain and implement food safety, hygiene standards, and quality culture.

* Oversee audits, including customer visits and third-party reviews.

* Drive cost reduction for chemicals, equipment, and laboratory testing.

* Support continuous improvement projects and operational efficiency.

* Work closely with senior management to ensure compliance and innovation.

Essential Requirements

* Technical expertise in food manufacturing operations.

* Strong experience in Quality or Technical Management roles.

* Familiarity with UK retailer codes of practice and audit protocols.

* Level 3-4 HACCP and TACCP/VACCP qualifications.

Desirable Qualifications

* Degree in Food Technology or Science.

* Level 4 Food Hygiene, NEBOSH/IOSH, or Lead Auditor certification.

* BRC Version 9 experience.
