Job Title: Manufacturing Technician Annual Salary: Up to 38,000 Location: Bicester Reed Engineering are working with a fantastic manufacturing company based in Bicester and I am looking for a Manufacturing Technician to join the team. This role involves managing equipment and goods within the workshop, from receiving parts and customer machines to performing repairs, generating reports, and handling shipping and customer notifications. You will also be responsible for scheduling work and maintaining on-site machinery for optimal efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Perform maintenance and repair activities on all compressor equipment using defined regulations and drawings. Complete inspection and repair reports. Plan, schedule, and track workshop tasks. Utilize CRM and ERP systems for document storage and cost tracking. Manage the spare parts identification and ordering system for effective parts control. Ensure workshop machinery is maintained, calibrated, and operational to specified requirements. Conduct pre-use checks and sign-offs on all machinery. Ensure all processes and workshop activities comply with EOHS, COSHH regulations, and the Quality Management System. Provide technical support to customers and colleagues as needed. Manufacture some parts and components on lathes. Required Skills & Qualifications: Time-served, mechanical engineering-based apprenticeship. Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a mechanical engineering environment. Ability to read engineering drawings. Experience using measuring instruments.
