Vehicle Technician | Rugby | Monday to Friday, alternate Saturdays | £36,000-£40,000 per annum depending on skills and experience Our client is a family run Land Rover specialist based in Rugby, established for over 50 years, working to ensure the highest quality workmanship and customer satisfaction levels are maintained. The role of Automotive Technician requires you to display a professional appearance and attitude to your work at all times, reassuring your customers that you understand their requirements and have their best interests at heart. You will need to be an excellent communicator, conveying clear and accurate messages between all work colleagues and potentially the client. You will play a key role in maximizing productivity within the company's service department and will work closely with the Workshop Supervisor. To that end, you will need to be organized and methodical in your approach. Are you the right person for the job? Current experience working as an Automotive Technician or in a similar role. Minimum Level 3 Qualification, with preferably an MOT licence (not essential). Good timekeeping and presentation qualities. Commitment to delivering technical excellence. Full UK driving licence. Excellent communication skills. Ability to multi-task within a busy environment. A good standard of verbal and numerical reasoning. A keen eye for detail. Computer literate. Knowledge or experience in 4 Wheel Drive Vehicles, Sports Utility Vehicles, and Land Rovers would be useful but not essential. What will your role look like? Carry out vehicle maintenance and repair work as delegated by the Workshop Supervisor. Correctly diagnose vehicle faults using diagnostic equipment and technical help lines if required. Complete all associated administration tasks relating to the maintenance work carried out. Maintain a clean and tidy workshop area to ensure a safe working environment. Contribute to maintaining workshop equipment to ensure it is safe and reliable to use. Support the day-to-day operation of Douglass Motors Ltd. What can you expect in return?
