The Company Able Bridge Recruitment are thrilled to be working with a well-known and highly reputable firm of solicitors in the recruitment of a legal cashier on a permanent basis. The role will be based in the corporate head office in central Edinburgh and will be of a hybrid nature.

The role will report directly to one of the firm's partners and will form part of an efficient and effective finance team.

The team are highly supportive of each other and work collaboratively with the rest of the organisation. The Responsibilities The purpose of this role is to ensure that daily legal cash room operations are carried out in accordance with strict legal requirements and that client accounts are maintained and controls are in place.

On a day-to-day basis you can expect to be responsible for the following:

Accountable for the on-boarding of new clients, ensuring that compliance paperwork is in place. Management of multiple client account reconciliations. Working closely with department heads and fee earners in ensuring that debtor balances are controlled. Responsible for raising invoices, processing fees, amendments of fees and credit notes. Maintain strict anti-money laundering controls and ensure that all necessary paperwork is stored in line with GDPR. Process client banking transactions through our client's banking portal. The Requirements We are seeking an experienced legal cashier with a minimum of 3 years of experience from within a legal firm (from within the UK). Our client has stipulated that the successful candidate does not need to be SOLAS qualified; however, it would be highly beneficial if they were, or were keen to pursue the qualification. We are looking for a proactive and self-motivated individual who will take the initiative to complete tasks which arise spontaneously. Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written form will be essential to be considered for the role.
