The Auction Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales and maximizing revenue through the auction of goods and services. This role involves building and maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring the successful sale of items. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sales, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Identify and engage potential clients interested in auctioning their items. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business. Provide expert advice to clients on auction strategies, item valuation, and market trends. Achieve sales targets by successfully marketing and selling auction items. Conduct market research to identify potential buyers and target markets. Negotiate with buyers and sellers to secure favourable terms for all parties. Auction Event Coordination: Collaborate with the auction team to plan and execute auction events, including both online and live auctions. Ensure that all items are properly catalogued, described, and photographed for auction listings. Coordinate logistics for auction events, including the setup of auction sites and the management of on-site personnel. Marketing & Promotion: Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote auction events and attract bidders. Utilize social media, email campaigns, and other marketing channels to reach potential buyers. Create compelling marketing materials, including brochures and advertisements. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to clients and bidders throughout the auction process. Address inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise before, during, or after auctions. Assist clients with post-auction activities, including payment processing and item delivery. Qualifications: Experience: Proven experience in sales, preferably in the auction or related industries. A background in Waste, Agriculture or Plant Sales/Hire. A strong understanding of auction processes and sales techniques. (Training can be given to the right individual) Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with online marketing tools and social media platforms. Other Requirements: Willingness to travel to client meetings as needed. Flexibility to work weekends and evenings, as required by auction schedules.
