About the position Reporting to the Sales and Logistics Manager, the Sales and Logistics Officer is responsible for coordinating the entire process of domestic zinc and sales, from receiving purchase orders to ensuring the timely arrival of products at designated destinations. Key responsibilities will include: Maintain up to date sales forecasts. Respond efficiently to customer enquiries. Address and resolve issues raised by customers. Ensure customer information is accurate and up to date. Coordinate with the Finance department on a weekly basis. Assist in preparation of monthly production and dispatch plans. Generate sales invoices for both domestic and export customers. Collate data related to the status and volume of products for reporting to management. Assist the team with additional tasks as required.
About you Ideally, you will have a relevant tertiary qualification and experience in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a relevant field. You will have a good understanding of the practical application of distribution principles, including inventory management, shipping, and transport. A high level of attention to detail and accuracy. Previous experience in preparing import/export documentation and some knowledge of materials handling. You will understand business processes such as invoice handling and cash flow management. Your high level of proficiency in Excel and Word is essential, and previous experience with JD Edwards or ERP is desirable. As a member of a small, functional team, you will have good interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn quickly to provide a high level of support.
