Job Summary The Sales Manager will be responsible for managing, structuring, and negotiating complex, high-value custom deals with key clients in the Telecom market. The objective of this position is to drive sales in the EMEA region, as part of the European Geospatial sales team, and ensure that IQGeo exceeds its orders targets in telco, utility, and related markets. The position will be targeting top European telecoms, qualify them, rapidly build a qualified pipeline of £20m close deals in line with your targets. This role is highly visible across the organization and has cross functional interaction with all business units, including Marketing, Development, Delivery, and Finance. Responsibilities Cold call into greenfield accounts. Develop prospects through LinkedIn and other social platforms. Nurture early customer engagements. Aggressively generate new leads and opportunities in the target market utilizing best practice methods. Manage and close deals focused on software licenses and M&S, with vision for a multi-year relationship. Qualify prospects and leads to identify relevant business opportunities in telecom and related markets. Create and execute account plans and strategies to close new business. Present comprehensive business solutions, including customer returns on investment and negotiate terms at senior levels of the customer’s organization. Accurately forecast sales revenue, based on in-depth understanding and sound judgement, taking into account revenue recognition implications. Achieve the agreed sales target. Extensive domestic (>50%) and some international travel. Excellent complex and strategic selling skills are essential, since the primary target is large enterprise-size companies. Be able to manage multiple projects concurrently. Prepare RFP responses and strategy. Perform other related duties, as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities Minimum of 5 years of experience closing enterprise Software, SaaS, or PaaS deals. Experience selling into Tier 1 telecoms accounts, such as: TIM, Vodafone, Telefonica, KPN, Liberty Global and Orange. Proven Sales experience with regular overachievement of sales targets at relevant previous employers. Direct experience with and established executive-level relationships at key telecom companies. Thorough understanding of Enterprise Solutions Sales. Understanding of telecom networks. Strategic sales skills to manage large complex and global accounts. Demonstrable experience delivering sales accounts and generating business. Previous experience of working for a global organization. Knowledge of complex software applications. Excellent sales and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Fluency in English is required; other languages helpful. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience closing enterprise Software, SaaS, or PaaS deals. Work Permits & Visas You must already have the right to work permanently in the country you are applying to work in. We have offices in Belgium, Germany and UK, but are open to considering applicants working remotely from other countries within Europe. IQGeo is not able to sponsor work permits.
