Job description Our clients are looking to recruit a

Learning Support Lead

who will join their SEND team. They are looking for someone who has experience of working with young people and/or adults with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing the caseload of learners at their organisation who have an EHCP, and will provide support and guidance to colleagues across our clients' business to ensure the best possible SEND support is provided to learners across provisions. You will need to be driven, organised, and dedicated to managing a busy and demanding workload. Our clients are committed to making a difference and they need motivated and passionate colleagues who can make it happen. The successful applicant must be flexible, confident, and an excellent communicator. Due to the nature of the business, you will be required to have a flexible and adaptable approach. This post is offered on a permanent basis, working 37 hours per week. You must be willing to travel to various locations nationally. You will be required to work across delivery sites/locations and remotely. At their organisation, we have a team of dedicated colleagues on hand to support you and you will be provided with all the equipment to enable you to work remotely. Key Responsibilities include:

Complete specialist training as required. Oversee the EHCP provision at their organisation, ensuring all learners with EHCPs receive the support they need to progress and achieve. Support the development and implementation of our clients SEND strategy. Develop and maintain current, up-to-date knowledge of legislation, research, and developments within the field of SEND and LDD including but not exclusive to: The Education Inspection Framework Further Education and Skills Handbook The Equality Act 2010 The SEND Code of Practice The Children and Families Act 2014 ESF Funding Rules (Learner Support Fund and High Needs Funding Guidance) Keeping Children Safe in Education Counter Terrorism Act 2015 Maintain up-to-date, effective and transparent records for EHCP learners. Provide support, guidance, coaching, and training to staff across our clients' business which supports learners with SEND to achieve. Lead on all transition points for learners with an Education and Health Care Plan, working collaboratively with Delivery Managers, Learning Coaches, parents/carers (under 18 or under 25 with an EHCP), and relevant Local Authorities (nationally). Ensuring timescales are met in line with statutory obligations. Work collaboratively with Delivery Managers and Learning Coaches to ensure appropriate support and intervention is provided, to raise aspirations and outcomes for learners with EHCPs. Work with other specialists within the organisation as the role requires. Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

Essential

Experience of working with and supporting learners with EHCP. Hold a SEND qualification at Level 5 or above (or willing to work towards). Experience of working with internal & external agencies to identify, plan, deliver, and evaluate EHCP provision. Sound knowledge of GDPR and information sharing. Understanding of the legislation, local and national guidance in relation to SEND and LDD. Level 2 in maths and English or equivalent or willing to work towards. Relevant experience of carrying out administrative duties. Desirable
