Our client is a leading Fortune 500 Company, looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic Instrument Technician to join the team based at the Billingham Manufacturing site. The Maintenance Team is at the centre of their industry-leading safety and reliability, working with Engineering teams to ensure that their facilities remain best-in-class. On successful appointment, you will undertake routine maintenance and perform fault finding and repairs on all aspects of instrumentation. You will also perform the installation and commissioning of plant modifications and improvement projects both online and during turnarounds and events to maintain plant online availability, resolve defects, and complete routines on time. Responsibilities

Ensure all maintenance tasks are carried out in accordance with company and statutory, environmental, health and safety standards. Assembly, installation, removal, replacement, disassembly, testing functionality and operability, maintenance, and repair of instrumentation systems and associated components. Pre-commissioning, trip testing, and fault finding on instrumentation systems. Raising, releasing, and completing Work Orders and updating databases as required. Raising requests for materials for the routine execution of work. Inspection and record keeping as part of a preventive maintenance programme. Assist in the upkeep of plant drawings and documentation. Participate in training to enhance skills to meet the company's competency requirements. Review and help in the upkeep of Technical Data and manuals. Be willing to work outside of normal hours on a planned or call-in basis. Carry out turnaround maintenance tasks safely, on schedule, and according to the work packs and company standards. Essential Requirements - Experience

An integral aspect of the Instrumentation Technician role is the ability to locate and identify faults in a timely manner to restore plant and equipment to acceptable conditions. A good knowledge of test and measuring equipment is essential. Skills and Competencies

Knowledge of legislative requirements in a COMAH top tier site and understanding of compliance through site procedures. Understanding of instrument control systems and the ability to diagnose equipment faults. Sound understanding of process plant and computerised maintenance management systems. Proficient user of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) with well-developed written and oral communication skills.
