Process Technician

Primary Responsibilities: The Process Technician will provide daily technique support for production and help engineers carry out process improvement projects in their defined area of ownership. Maintain processing/working standards, monitor process performance, and maintain efficient manufacturing workflow.

Process Ownership: Vacuum coating Optical Cleaning & Handling Optical polishing Optical Measurement

Key Responsibilities: Process performance monitoring and production support. Maintain workmanship standards and ensure they are followed. Maintain process documentation covering steady state production and recovery methods for dealing with out-of-limit or out-of-specification situations. Provide specialist assistance on production issues. Support engineering by helping and monitoring engineering experiments. Monitor process limits and control measures. Be the first call on troubleshooting out-of-control and out-of-specification process issues. Support engineers in resolving process performance issues. Collaborate with maintenance engineers to understand limitations on process capability and identify opportunities for improvement. Assist with research & development projects.

Required Experience, Qualification and Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities. Hands-on skills in operating processing equipment. Knowledge of manufacturing execution systems (MES) or manufacturing resource planning (MRP) systems is advantageous; full training will be provided.

Personal Attributes: A self-motivated, self-starting technique specialist with the ability to plan and prioritize own work within a guidance framework. Excellent communication skills. Strong attention to detail. Continuous learner - a willingness to research and fill knowledge gaps as necessary. Competent computer user (including Microsoft Office).
