Utilities Fitter Redhill and Field-Based £30,300 - £33,000 , plus standby pay and benefits One of the most important objectives for us all at SES Water is the reduction of leaks and maintenance of our networks. We’re currently in a good position with a full reservoir and water stores, but we can’t afford to rely on continuous heavy rainfall for our supply. We need to ensure we don’t waste a drop. As a part of this incredible support network, we are recruiting for an experienced Repair and Maintenance (Utilities) Fitter to join our R&M team. Already experienced within a similar environment you will be excavating and repairing all sizes of pipe and overseeing the work of a trainee. The Role: Maintaining our high standards for customers, Health and Safety requirements, and environmental considerations. Excavating, and repairing all sizes of pipe and ancillary apparatus within the water mains network. Loading and unloading materials, backfilling and reinstatement excavations. Daily vehicle and plant maintenance checks. Recording all details of work carried out on site. Requirements: Experience within a similar environment. Cat C1 driving license. The ability to use a range of tools, load and unload materials. Natural ability to respond to customers in a polite and professional manner. Although it is not essential it would be ideal if you have an EUSR Water Hygiene Card and NRSWA Streetworks Qualification (including signing, lighting and guarding).
