About Our Client Our client is one of the leading specialist businesses within the construction industry, supplying to a variety of industries based in Lancaster. With a client base of loyal customers, the business is experiencing exponential growth and is looking to add to their team. Job Description As the Design Engineer, you will be tasked with the following: Design products and associated equipment for our various product lines. Produce a full technical pack, 3D/2D Approval and manufacturing drawings, BOMs, cutting lists using 3D CAD software (SolidWorks/Autodesk exp. Preferred) per order. Design new products that are optimized for the production process within the sites. Design to current applicable legislation, building regulations & legal compliance. Review & refine existing product ranges to improve manufacturing efficiency & reduce cost without compromising quality or integrity of product. Ensure technical folders, approvals, compliance are all managed in line with company procedure and ISO9001. Be the main point of contact for design queries for clients or internal team members. Work closely with the manufacturing sites to provide advice, guidance and assist problem-solving as required. The Successful Applicant A successful Design Engineer should have: A demonstrable background of operating either CAD software/Autodesk. Strong design skills and an eye for detail. Knowledge of the latest design trends in the industrial/manufacturing industry. Excellent communication skills for presenting designs to various stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure. What's on Offer A competitive salary range of £35,000 - £45,000. Generous holiday leave.
