- As a result of continued growth, my client, an award-winning Building Services Contractor, now has a requirement for an experienced Mechanical Estimator to prepare accurate and timely estimates for company projects from pre-tender to post-tender stage. This Mechanical Estimator role will be part of an experienced team that works in a very fast-paced environment and is continuously recognized for delivering to deadlines. What you will do: Produce Mechanical Building Services estimates on a wide range of projects including commercial, hotel & leisure, healthcare, education, industrial, pharmaceutical, data centres, etc. Ensure Tender folder is correctly maintained. Read and review all tender documents before an estimate is started, and ensure any discrepancies between spec/drawings/tender summary are picked up. Record and submit all RFIs in the correct documentation. Prepare estimate in line with exact tender summary provided. List any assumptions, clarifications, VE and conditions, etc. Submit tender and update SharePoint with all costs. Record details on company Management system. Follow up tender and record on SharePoint. Attend and participate in Departmental Company & External Meetings. Keep up to date with industry standards. Develop your skills in line with agreed training plan. Attend Tender Handover Meeting when the project is won. Qualifications: Previous experience working as a Mechanical Estimator within the building services sector. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to use your initiative and adhere to best practices. Ability to collaborate with the wider Estimating team and other departments.
