Electrical Instructor (Scunthorpe)

Humberside Engineering Training Association HETA is a rapidly expanding Group Training Association (GTA) with training centres in Hull, Stallingborough and Scunthorpe. HETA provide engineering apprentices and adult skills training for hundreds of companies in Yorkshire and Humberside. We recruit industry specialists who want to make the career change to delivering training and skills. We are looking for a multi-skilled Electrical Engineer with a high level of industry experience who would like to move into trianing and pass on their knowledge and experience. The successful candidate will work with our existing instructor teams delivering high quality apprenticeship training for our client companies and also deliver on our range of commercial courses including 18th Edition, 2391, Basic Electrical Maintenance, PAT Testing and Health and Safety courses. Experience of PLCs, Instrumentation, CompEx and High Voltage would be advantageous but not essential. You will bring your industry experience and a desire to be part of developing the next generation of skilled technicians. The successful applicant will have good craft/technical skills, good interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and more than five years industrial experience. Relevant qualifications to at least City and Guilds certificate, HNC or above would be advantageous, assessor and teaching qualifications are desirable but not essential as full support will be given in the development of necessary skills. The position will be based at our Scunthorpe site but occasional travel to our other sites and client companies may be necessary therefore a full driving licence and willingness to work nationally is essential. HETA is commited to safeguarding our learners and successful applicants will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, and where necessary, to register on a suitable teacher training programme.
