This role has come about as a result of increased demand for places across the school and a desire to maximise the work of this department. The Marketing Officer supports the delivery of the School's overall brand development and direction, student recruitment activity, and marketing event planning. The Marketing Officer works to support the marketing of the school and communication with prospective and current stakeholders to ensure that the School is meeting admission targets and seeking additional ways to contribute revenue to support and further develop the facilities at the school. The Marketing Officer will report to the Head of Marketing and Admissions. Main duties and responsibilities
The implementation of the School's Marketing Strategy inclusive of social, website, and outreach Social media content production Brand development Brand awareness events e.g. Open Morning, Open Doors, etc. Recruitment campaigns, materials, and events Newsletters and other PR materials Building first-class relationships with local and national media organisations Liaison with the School's advertising agencies, designers, and printers Representing and promoting the School at exhibitions and presentations Sourcing appropriate marketing and merchandising materials Supporting admissions processes Any other reasonable duties Attendance at evening and some weekend events Maintaining and updating the website Personal Attributes & Skills
The ideal candidate will: Have previous Marketing and Public Relations experience, ideally but not essentially within a school or charitable organisation Have a warm and engaging manner and personality, with the ability to communicate with people of all ages and backgrounds Maintain high professional standards of presentation and demeanour Be highly organised Be able to forge effective working relationships with a wide range of staff and other stakeholders Be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimum supervision Have resilience and a sense of humour Be keen to learn new skills Be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and demands Enjoy working to a high standard in a demanding environment Be sympathetic to the ethos of Gosfield and its educational principles Be a team player, able to initiate projects and ideas, as well as take direction Be a confident writer able to convey the School vision Have a high level of skill in planning and executing social media campaigns and developing engaging content Interviews w/c: 27/01/25 but we reserve the right to interview as applications are received and appoint prior to the closing date.
