About the position Sun Metals is welcoming an experienced Electrical Tradesperson to join our Electrical Maintenance Team due to the plant's expansion. This role is a Monday to Friday Day shift role - but be available for breakdowns and shift coverage from time to time with an RDO every 4 weeks. This position reports to the Electrical Maintenance Team Leader. Key responsibilities will include: Working to a Weekly Plan Performing preventative and predictive maintenance. Troubleshooting a wide variety of electrical motor control systems. Troubleshooting various instruments used in Process control. Ability to prioritise work in demanding situations. Carry out switching of HV equipment when required. Working with Process Operators and other Trades. Interpreting various Electrical, pneumatic and P&ID drawings. Skills And Experiences
You will meet the following criteria: Relevant Electrical Trade Certificate with post trade experience. Queensland Electrical Fitter/Mechanic licence issued by the Queensland Electrical Safety Office. Experience in a refinery or similar heavy industry is desirable. Strong safety focus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Computer literacy with MS Word and Excel. Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
