Period of employment / Hours: Permanent full-time (76.00 hours per fortnight) day work (part-time hours may be considered by negotiation) Location: Homes Tasmania - Tenancy Services – North Duties: Primary Purpose / Focus : In accordance with Homes Tasmania’s service delivery policies, principles and standards the Client Support Coordinator will: Ensure appropriate intervention strategies are identified for at-risk clients. Discuss options for at-risk clients and ensure that at-risk clients understand the options available and subsequent consequences regarding their tenancy. Provide timely support through negotiation with support services. Skills and experience : Selection criteria includes: Demonstrated considerable tenancy management experience and the ability to exercise independent judgement to respond to complex and multiple client issues. Demonstrated competence in determining support needs, case work and intensive coordination and ability to make well informed decisions and recommendations to match services to client needs. Demonstrated sound knowledge and understanding of the social, organisational, and political environment, in particular the issues impacting on the sector, with an understanding of the Homes Tasmania division, and services provided by Tenancy Services and other relevant service providers and referral options, or the ability to acquire such knowledge and understanding. Note: Please refer to the Statement of Duties for ALL the selection criteria of this position. Desirable Requirements: Current Driver’s Licence. Satisfactory completion of an appropriate course of study from a recognised tertiary institution. Essential Requirements: The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted: Conviction checks in the following areas: a) crimes of violence b) sex related offences c) serious drug offences d) crimes involving dishonesty e) serious traffic offences (If Driver's License is an Essential Requirement) Identification check Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
