The Role: Our client, a market leader in industrial cleaning and catalyst handling services for the refining, chemical, petrochemical and processing industries, is currently recruiting for a Sales Manager to join their team to cover their EU operations. The role will be partly hybrid from home, and partly office-based in Scunthorpe. Responsibilities: Establish and maintain productive, professional relationships with potential clients to expand the customer base. Develop and nurture strong relationships with existing customers to secure repeat business. Lead regional sales efforts, including pricing, quoting, problem resolution, deal closure, and customer job evaluations. Set and maintain high standards in quality and safety matters. Conduct market analysis to assess competition and demand. Develop annual and quarterly sales and marketing plans, forecasts, and budgets in line with the company's regional business strategies. Provide a weekly activity report to the Corporate Sales & Marketing Director and CEO. Key Requirements: Experience in industrial cleaning / catalyst handling in the petrochemical / refining industries. A minimum of 3 years of sales management experience. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent planning and organizational abilities. Expert sales and negotiation skills. Strong analytical thinking. Commercial awareness, with a focus on costing and margin management. Problem-solving ability. A strong network within the European and UK refining/petrochemical sector. A full driving license and the ability to travel as needed.
