The Finance department in Lincoln are responsible for the day-to-day financial activities of the practice. The Legal Cashier will be responsible for: Compliance with Solicitor Accounts Rules Ensuring the processing of financial information in the smooth running and reconciliation of the purchase and normal ledgers Key duties will include:

To undertake daily banking functions including bank reconciliations The processing of client and office accounting transactions including postings and payment production The processing of client bills to include checking and processing Input and production of nominal payment requests Processing automatic and manual payment runs via online banking The processing of bank transfers Coding and input of purchase invoices to appropriate budget headings Ad-hoc reporting VAT administration and returns Processing of travel and other expenses Anti-Money Laundering checks and ID processing as required Dealing with enquiries from fee earners and support staff Dealing with enquiries and payments from clients The administration and reconciliation of petty cash All other duties to support the firm’s Finance function. Requirements

Have previous legal accounts experience Have IT user skills with particular emphasis on excel spreadsheets Have excellent keyboard skills Pay attention to detail Have a diligent and methodical work ethic Have the ability to work as part of a team Have a positive approach to working under pressure in a busy environment Other information
