9.00 am to 5.00 pm - Monday to Friday (1 Hour Lunch) We have a vacancy for a Practice Manager with excellent legal practice management experience to work at our head office in Bolton. The purpose of the role is to work closely with the firm’s Partners and Central Managers to deliver the firm’s plans. The successful candidate will have joint responsibility for the day-to-day management of the firm alongside the Managing Partner. Job Role Working within a busy office with a friendly team of people, you will be expected to carry out the following duties: Assist the Partners in developing and delivering the firm’s strategy and business plans through the legal and central management teams. Develop and implement the firm’s financial plans with the Partners, Accounts Manager, and Finance Partner. Support Department Heads in the preparation of department business plans and budgets. Manage and deliver a variety of projects agreed by the Partners through the central management teams including M&A Projects. Assist in developing and implementing the firm’s marketing plans. Develop and implement the firm’s HR plans with the Partners and HR Manager. Keep up to date with the SRA Standards and Regulations and ensure the firm’s people are well trained and embrace risk management and compliance in practice and follow the necessary reporting requirements. Ensure that policies, controls, and procedures are compliant and meet regulatory, Lexcel, and other quality mark requirements. Develop and implement the firm’s IT plan with the IT director. Maintain and develop the firm’s risk, quality, and compliance systems and manage annual audits for various accreditations. Be responsible for the operational management of the firm with the Reception and Facilities manager. Manage supplier contracts and insurances through the firm’s brokers and other advisers. Skills Required Highly developed leadership and management ability. Excellent communication skills. Ability to coordinate multiple projects and tasks and work under pressure. A team player who is able to gain the confidence of Partners and Staff. Capable of solving and managing complex issues. Experience in a senior management role within a legal environment. Experience of working to LEXCEL Accreditation preferable. Officer role experience preferable, for example COFA, MLRO, DPO, SRO.
