What would I be doing? The role of Marketing and Communications Coordinator is to provide support in ensuring the local community is kept informed about Matrix and its projects, as well as engaged in supporting us. We expect you to be creative, enthusiastic about our cause and an effective communicator. As Marketing and Communications Coordinator you will work independently, but in close liaison with the CEO, SLT, Project Leads and the wider Matrix team. What do we expect from you? Support with managing the charity supporters database, ensuring it meets GDPR and Fundraising Regulation requirements; where necessary training others how to use it correctly. Keep the local community informed through a variety of media and be responsible for promoting all events and the work that Matrix do, including but not limited to: Writing, editing and coordinating the production and delivery of postal and electronic newsletters in liaison with the CEO. Planning, preparing and coordinating communication with Matrix donors, friends, supporter Churches and the wider public. Creative use of social media, planning, creating, scheduling Matrix social media channels. Develop original copy for social media platforms, websites, broadcast and printed advertising materials. In collaboration with the Data Coordinator, simplifying complex data into a user-friendly format such as graphs, charts and other visual aids. In liaison with the CEO, write and submit press releases as required. Ensure Matrix team understand and use the correct branding for internal and external communications. Understand brand guidelines and consistently implement the brand voice across all channels and marketing materials and encourage the wider team to do the same. Provide additional administrative support to Project Leads and SLT as required.
