A leader in the provision of fire protection services is looking for junior fire protection engineers to join their team. Our client will consider candidates of all levels of experience, but a sound knowledge of construction health and safety and a good work ethic is a must. This will be a great opportunity to learn new and/or develop existing skills within the passive fire protection industry and launch your career into a busy market! You will be working on commercial projects, carrying out new installations, upgrades, and maintenance works to various fire compartments within existing buildings. The works will be based across the midlands predominantly; however, further travel across the UK is to be expected. You will regularly be working in high-security areas and will need to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Screening (BPSS) as part of the application process. This will enable you to work on MOD, government, and education projects with ease. What's on offer? Fire stopping installations and remedial works to commercial properties across the midlands and wider UK Full-time, permanent role with company benefits package £25,000 - £35,000 Vehicle, fuel card, phone provided Accommodation provided, with company card for food allowances Opportunity for personal career development and the chance to become an accredited passive fire protection engineer Roles and responsibilities Installing and carrying out remedial works to penetrations and loft spaces Completing works in line with the manufacturer's specification Documenting works on a step-by-step basis, ensuring evidence is taken accurately Problem-solving and being able to overcome unforeseen issues with the work Liaising with customers and members of the general public The successful candidate will have: At least two years of construction industry experience Valid CSCS card Basic construction trade skills Sound knowledge of site-based H&S The willingness to learn and progress into a booming industry!
