Renfrewshire Council are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to lead the Council's journey to Net Zero. This exciting new role offers the opportunity to manage complex change projects and champion sustainability across a large and diverse organisation. As Sustainability Manager, you will operate at a strategic level to deliver and enhance sustainability initiatives. You will have experience managing multiple teams, both capital and revenue budgets and lead on capital works. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Climate & Public Protection, you will lead a wide range of sustainability projects including priority projects as part of our Plan for Net Zero, investment initiatives, our Local Heat and Energy Efficiency Strategy, Energy Management improvements within our estate and Sustainable Transport initiatives. You will develop the capital programme, ensuring that the strategic vision and direction of the service and Council are developed and delivered. To ensure the priorities of the Council are met and key Community Planning partnerships are developed and delivered that build capacity, support and protect the communities of Renfrewshire. You must have effective organisational, time management skills, written and verbal communication skills, and be able to demonstrate extensive experience in resource management. You will also have substantial experience of delivering complex change projects within a large organisation and have the ability to develop and sustain relationships with individuals at all levels in an organisation especially with senior Stakeholders. It is also essential you have a Degree in Business Management or Science related discipline or equivalent experience. If successful, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check, the level of check will be determined by the duties of the post.
