We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Change professional to lead our Automation Community of Practice.

A bit about the job:

The Finance Automation Lead role will be responsible for defining our automation strategy. You will shape and lead a dedicated Community of Practice driving coordination across Aviva’s global Markets and Group Functions to identify transformation opportunities, support with solution design and report benefits to senior stakeholders. The role will report to the Global Head of Aviva’s in-house transformation team for Finance. You will need to be a self-starter to support Finance in defining and meeting its transformation objectives. The role will work closely with IT and Risk colleagues to deliver transformation outcomes and will be responsible for managing a dedicated team both in the UK and India. The role will involve leading a team of change professionals and data engineers in the UK and Offshore to build and maintain automated solutions, from building ETL processes to delivering automated workflows and GenAI. Also essential will be defining best practice and ensuring any deployment delivers future-proofed Finance processes.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

Technical: Knowledge of data engineering and automation tooling, e.g. Power Automate, Appian, Dataiku, WTW Unify. Knowledge of R and Python (development skills are not required). Knowledge of ETL technology e.g. Informatica, AWS Glue, Snowflake, PostgresSQL. Understanding of data visualization tools, e.g., Qlik, Power BI, Tableau. Understanding of system architecture and integration.

Soft Skills: Consultative mindset, a problem solver with a natural desire to explore how new tools can be deployed to automate processes and drive efficiencies; Being a natural self-starter, collaborator and leader, with a desire to challenge current ways of working as well as strong communicator and excellent relationship-building skills.

Strong portfolio and project management skills, including Agile delivery methodology.

Transformation experience either from a background in Management Consultancy or in-house change is preferable working with business and technical stakeholders.

Knowledge of Finance processes and associated risk and control environment.

(London) - depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications.

Bonus opportunity - 12% of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
