Inverness Contract type: Job Purpose: All window fabricators are involved in the manufacturing of windows & doors from when the raw materials arrive to completed items ready for installation. Main responsibilities: Work to the weekly manufacturing schedule Work to computerised work lines as per the quality management system Use relevant machinery when trained to carry out manufacturing tasks such as welding lengths of PVC, cutting beads, PVC, RCM or steel Apply hinges, door locks & other gearing to welded sashes/frames Install double glazed units into completed frames Carry out final inspections on finished products and apply relevant certification stickers Take finished products from manufacturing area to dispatch area General responsibilities: Any other duties as required by your line Director. Qualifications: No formal qualifications are required for this post but industry experience would be a definite advantage. A driving license is required for occasions when site visits are necessary. Holidays: 28 days annual holiday (including 6 days Public Holidays for Christmas, New Year and Easter). 10 days to be kept for Christmas & New Year shutdown. Training: Full training of our systems & procedures will be given in line with our ISO 9001 quality management system.
