HGV Mechanic / Workshop Fitter / Technician West Sussex up to GBP45,000
Do you have previous experience working as a Workshop Fitter/Mechanic/Technician in LGV/HGV or similar vehicle maintenance? Do you want to work for the market leader in a unique industry? Do you hold a full driving licence?
We are recruiting a Workshop Fitter/Mechanic/Technician for a leading logistics company based in West Sussex. This is an additional role to a growing team in a well-established family-run company that has been around for over 40 years. This company is the largest single supplier of transport services in their popular industry operating across Europe and the UK.
The Job roles and Responsibilities:
As a Workshop Fitter/Mechanic/Technician, you will have the following job roles and responsibilities: To look after the defects, MOT prep and servicing of vehicles Ensure the repair and upkeep of Mega Cube Tandem Axle Box Trailers and DAF Tractor units Maintain records on work carried out with job cards and record on the computer Set up purchase orders for stock and parts Fortnightly visits to local depots for service and inspection of trailers The requirements:
To be suitable for the position of Workshop Fitter/Mechanic/Technician, you will ideally have the following: Experience of working as a Workshop Fitter/Mechanic in LGV/HGV or similar vehicle Hold a full driving licence Computer literate The Package:
