The Company:

The company offers bespoke engineering solutions to overcome manufacturing challenges and obstacles. Due to continued growth, they now have a fantastic opportunity for a Fabricator / Welder to join their small, growing team on a permanent basis.

Job Role:

The main function and responsibility of the Fabricator / Welder will be to work as part of a small production team assisting in the manufacturing, installation, and fault finding of machinery and equipment.

Duties:

Good working knowledge of mechanical engineering. Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Assisting with machine fitting and assembly. Good understanding of current environmental and H&S issues. Experience in fault finding, defect rectification, and routine maintenance activities. Ad hoc CNC duties (both milling & turning). Ad hoc welding duties. Operating various pieces of production equipment/machinery. Using handheld tools to assemble products. Some site work will be involved to assist in the installation of machinery. Quality control duties to ensure production is to the highest standard.

Technical Knowledge / Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years' experience working within a workshop environment is essential. Previous experience working within fabrication and welding is essential. Previous CNC (milling) experience is desirable. Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings. Must be able to work both individually as well as part of a small team. Must be a strong communicator who can build relationships with colleagues and clients.
