Location: GivEnergy Head Office, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, ST5 9HX (hybrid, 3 days onsite per week) Salary: £60k - £85k pa depending on experience and qualification level (plus performance bonus scheme) Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm (with some flexibility for out of hours cover) We’re looking to grow our team with the addition of a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer. This role will play a key part in the development of a new smart & scalable platform that aims to make home energy accessible to masses & empower energy freedom for all. This is a full stack role, where a successful candidate will be supporting & advising the team on how to build high quality, maintainable software in both the user interfaces & within our backend & cloud services. Building on our existing team’s skills, we’re looking for senior and experienced Developers who have the flexibility and drive, to work across all elements of our stack to produce the best control software and reporting systems possible for our inverter, battery & EV charging systems. What You’ll Be Doing: No two days will look the same in this role, but you can expect a mix of the below accountabilities: Working with the team analysing requirements & building new features. Working with & enabling the expert user community. Analyse issues raised and creating releases. Designing, developing and improving automations. Consulting on & executing architectural & tech stack improvements. Maintain system stability and optimise performance in our AWS environment. What we’re looking for: 5 years’ development experience An understanding and competence in: TypeScript (Node.js) React Experience with Cloud infrastructure AWS (RDS, EC2, Elastic Beanstalk, S3, ElastiCache, SES, API Gateway, Lambda, SSM) MySql/RDBMS VCS (GitHub) Developing, testing, and consuming RESTful APIs It would be advantageous if you had some competence in the following: Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence) IoT Rust Redis MongoDB Kafka Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) Home Assistant OAuth2 Benefits Include: Opportunity for two bonuses per year (individual & profit share) Refer A Friend Scheme (£500 per successful referral!)
